Zara is a mixed media artist based in London, who enjoys investigating the body through abstracted and organic shapes, drawing on the similarities between the forms of the body and those found in nature.

Inspired by her family’s dedication to the medical profession, Zara is currently working on her new project ‘It’s what’s on the inside that counts’. This project is influenced by our body’s interior structures, intricacies and landscapes, particularly within the inner ear.

Artist Statement

‘The feeling of being completely at ease, of zoning out when creating, is one of such calmness. If people view my work and it evokes any kind of thought, feeling, or emotion, I feel that is a huge honour. It connects me to that person- whatever they see in my work, whatever their interpretation. For me, that is what being an artist is about; creating something for yourself that you can share with others’
