About

Zara is an emerging artist based in London, who enjoys investigating the body through abstracted and organic shapes, focusing on fluidity and iterations of movement. Zara likes to draw on the similarities between our bodies, and natural forms such as flowers, plants, and rocks. She enjoys working in different mediums, each work informing the next, each one an experiment.

Her artwork is also a physical manifestation of the catharsis she feels when creating, channelling any inner turbulence into being present and focused. She enjoys that people see or feel completely different things when they look at her work, as this furthers the sense of turning any negative thoughts or emotions into something positive.

Zara is currently working on her next major project ‘It’s what’s on the inside that counts’. This has evolved from her investigations of the body’s exterior forms, to those inside of us. Inspired by her family’s dedication to the medical profession, Zara’s new project is influenced by our body’s interior structures, surreal shapes, and intricate details; in particular the inner workings of the human ear.
